Mild Autism in Children
Mild autism is a disorder of the brain. The symptoms of mild autism usually appear on the early stage of childhood. Typically if the child is under 3 years old, there can be no symptoms of mild autism can be known. It can be seen after he passes the age of 3 and the signs of mild autism in children may start to appear. The level of their IQ can be below or above the normal.
In general, every people suffering from this condition may show unique and different signs and symptoms.
Symptoms of Mild Autism
- The child with mild autism finds it hard to start a conversation with someone or find it very difficult to make friendship with others. If they can initiate a conversation, he might not able to continue it further.
- The child is tremendously engrossed in playing their toy or any activity he is doing. He will not care or pay attention on the things happening around them.
- Typically, the child may start staring on a certain thing for a long period of time. This is very common among toddlers.
- In most cases, the child may tend to talk constantly. He may also talk stuff that can be complicated to understand and don’t have a meaning at all.
- They may also repeat a certain part or story in a book or movie.
- The speech pattern of the child can be delayed or extraordinary.
- People with mild autism usually take too much time to learn or understand a thing or they need time to understand a particular thing.
- They are incompetent to think of a specific thing from other people’s perspective.
- Child may have a poor motor skill.
- In some situation, the child may also show intense and deep interest in trivial matters.
- They may also find it difficult or scared to make an eye contact with other people.
- Mood swings is one of the common mild autism signs, wherein their mood may instantly change quickly.
- Another early symptom of mild autism is their sensory organs tend to be hyper sensitive and may have sensory issues such as loud noise and bright light can disturb them. The presence of many crowd is not conducive for them.
- People with this condition find it difficult to understand other individual’s body language and may not actually understand the sign or signal that person is showing them.
