What is autism?
Autism is known as a complex developmental disability that can cause hindrance with communication and social interaction. The sign and symptoms of autism usually appears before the child reaches 3 years old and this can be considered as problems or delays in various skills that needs to be developed.
What is an autism spectrum disorder?
Different individuals with this condition may have different signs of autism. Experts consider this condition as spectrum disorder or sets of disorders with different characteristics. Meaning, one person may have mild signs while other may have severe symptoms. However, they are all considered to have autism spectrum disorder.

The range of symptoms positioned along autism spectrum is very different and sometimes complicated to pinpoint that labeling among well-known people with this condition could be difficult as well. Some of the famous person known speculated to have this condition are Albert Einstein, Bill Gates and Steven Spielberg. However, these individuals are considered geniuses in their own field as well as interest. They are also usually mentioned as autistic with borderline savants. His social and academic failures would be signs of disability today, but back then, they were just signs of laziness or a bad attitude.
After a long struggle, John dropped out of high school. His school years had ended in failure, but hed been fortunate to find two of his great life interests music and electronics. Aside from the prevalent characteristics associated with autism spectrum disorder, Aspergers or Pervasive Developmental Disorder, there may be other autism symptoms that occur outside of the initial diagnosis. These autism symptoms can affect how a family deal or manage children or individuals with autistic syndromes.
According to statistics and previous studies, it was estimated that among people with ASD, 0.5 to 10 percent exhibit very unusual activities that are different from the normal spectrum of autistic disorders. Although these people have prominent learning disabilities, they show amazing splinter skills like unique talents in creating complex jigsaw puzzles in a matter of minutes, or show extraordinary skills as prodigious autistic savants.
